Elon Musk has decided to hold a competition for fans to come up with Tesla's very first commercial and it's all thanks to a 10-year-old girl who lives near Detroit.

"I have noticed that you do not advertise, but many people make homemade commercials for Tesla and some of them are very good, they look professional and are entertaining," fifth-grader Bria Loveday wrote to Musk.

Bria then suggested that Musk's company have a competition to find the best homemade Tesla commercial.

"The cool part is that you still won't be taking the time and money to advertise for yourself."

She also suggested that the winner receive a year of free supercharging or a Model 3 Easter Egg, in addition to having his or her commercial aired.

Bria also mentioned that it would be super cool if Musk could hook her up with a Tesla t-shirt.

Musk responded to the letter on Twitter.

The girl's father, Steven Loveday, told CNNMoney that Bria planned to just mail the letter to Tesla's headquarters in Palo Alto, California, but he warned that she might not get a response that way.

In addition to mailing the letter, Loveday emailed Bria's letter to the company's public relations department and received a response in just half an hour.

"It was less than an hour and I was driving my daughter home from karate, and Elon had already responded," Loveday told CNNMoney.

Tesla hasn't offered up details on the competition just yet, but Loveday said Tesla is sending Bria a t-shirt via snail mail.

Here's a look at some of the homemade Tesla commercials already out there:
