Facebook Messenger's newest feature is basically another clone of Snapchat Storiesby Circa News
TechTrends

Once again, Facebook adopted a new feature that seems suspiciously similar to another social network's flagship product.

Facebook Messenger's new feature, Messenger Day, functions like a Snapchat Story. You can add filters to photos and videos and send them to friends or post them to an ongoing stream. They last for 24 hours, much like Snapchat Stories. You can also add messages sent to friends to your "day," similarly to how you can add Snaps to your friends to your Story.

The existence of yet another Snapchat clone may seem a bit redundant. Instagram Stories have been live for months, and Facebook owns Instagram. Facebook also added a Story feature in Whatsapp.

The similarities were not lost on observers.
