Legendary pop singer George Michael's death in December was due to natural causes, a British coroner announced Tuesday.
Michael suffered from heart failure, coroner Darren Salter said. Specifically, he had a dilated cardiomyopathy, which stretches a heart valve and makes it harder for the heart to pump blood, according to the American Heart Association.
Michael's death at his home in Oxfordshire was initially deemed "inconclusive." He was 53.
