WATCH | After an explosive 2016, here are the top events to anticipate in the year to come.

The ELeague Major will feature 16 teams from around the world and a $1 million prize pool.

WATCH | The Halo World Championship, launched just in 2016, offers the largest cash award sum for any console eSports at $2.5 million. 

The rest of 2017 follows with many other tournaments of large scale:

1) August - The International (Dota 2)

2) October - League of Legends World Championship

3) November - BlizzCon (Hearthstone, Starcraft II, Heroes of the Storm, World of Warcraft)
