Trump Tower advertised its Secret Service presence as a 'new amenity'by Mike Denison
Accountability

Secret Service agents have been a fixture Trump Tower as Donald Trump and his advisers undergo the transition to the presidency .

And now, Trump Tower is treating this as a feature worth bragging about. Politico reports real estate agencies have received advertisements for a $2.1 million condo inside the tower reading:

"The New Aminity [sic] - The United States Secret Service" and calling the building "The Best Value in the Most Secure Building in Manhattan."

Here's how the ad looks.

"Honestly, it's 50-50... There are those who flee, there are those who are going to the building and want to be associated with Trump as a winner."

Debra Stotts, realtor for Town Residential

Does Trump make money off of this?

Kind of. Most of the condo units are individually owned. But Trump Corporation pockets a $2,000 processing fee for each condo application, plus $250 per each adult resident. Trump also manages the garage and vendors.

The Secret Service doesn't come cheap. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio requested $35 million in reimbursement to provide city law enforcement services, CBS New York reports. That will cover the costs until Trump's inauguration on Jan. 20.
