An Eddie Bauer store featured a human-sized ice box to test winter wear by Jean-Sun Ahn

A human-sized ice box arrived at Eddie Bauer.

You heard right, the clothing store has an ice box to provide customers the chance to try out winter gear in below freezing temperatures. The box took five months to develop and is only featured at the Bellevue, Washington location.

On Sunday, Eddie Bauer debuted the 8-foot-wide by 8-foot-tall "Ice Box," at their new flagship store in Bellevue, Washington.

The ice box can operate between negative ten to 20 degrees Fahrenheit, it also features fans inside the box to mimic wind chill.

Back in the 1950s, Eddie Bauer and his employees tested apparel, by sleeping overnight with coats and sleeping bags in cold storage lockers.

Eddie Bauer has around 350 stores in the United States and Canada, 17 of which are located in Washington state. The apparel company is currently in the process of redesigning its stores to express a new design concept.
