The UN ambassador said the US supports the two-state solution, even if Trump isn't sureby Mike Denison

Nikki Haley, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, said the U.S. still supports the two-state solution for Israel and Palestine, despite President Trump saying on Wednesday he could "live with either" the two-state or a one-state solution.

When asked Wednesday in a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he favored a two-state solution, Trump said, "I like the one that both parties like."

Haley said the U.S. would "think out of the box" for other solutions.

Trump also told Netanyahu to "hold back" on building settlements in the West Bank and said "Both sides will have to make compromises" in any peace deal.

Netanyahu responded with a chuckle, saying, "Both sides."
